Antique hand mirror inlaid in rare woods such as ebony and ivory in ultra fine mosaic.
This piece measures 20” long X 10” wide.
Purchased in Shiraz or Isfahan in 1960 probably at a suq.
The actual glass mirror, very old but not as old as the mosaic frame separated from frame when wood support became dried out. Needs a conservator to repair.
 
Estimate this “Arabian Nights” looking glass was painstakingly fashioned by highly skilled, dedicated artists in late 1800s.
