These bowls came from my Grandfather Ebert's home in Illinois.

The family had used them for bread-making in the 1930s.

When I was growing up, my mother gave me the chopping tool to cut up parsley and other herbs and vegetables for salads and

soups.  I chopped in one of the bowls, probably the smaller one.
